Shop local NZ with these earrings made from organic shapes of Rimu wood and laminate overlaid. They are very light to wear - you forget they are there!. The hooks are stainless steel and they are approx. 3cm long and 1.5cm wide. The wood is polished with beeswax but they are not designed to be worn swimming or in the shower.
Rimu is one of the most popular of New Zealand's native timbers. Because it was used extensively in older character homes as both a structural and finishing timber, it is probably New Zealand's best known native species. Rimu has been proven as a remarkably versatile and exceptionally beautiful timber.
